June 2008 - At Wakefield Magistrates for driving at 60mph in a 30mph limit disqualification avoided, penalty points and below guideline fine imposed.
May 2008 - for driving at over 100mph on the motorway - disqualification avoided, penalty points and below guideline fine imposed.
April 2008 - Our client was summonsed to court for driving without due care and attention. Rescuemylicence were able to persuade the CPS to drop the case without us or our client ever attending court. (defence costs order awarded - client recovered all costs)
March 2008 - Exceptional hardship argued sucessfully for a man who did not face the sack if banned from driving - the argument was instead based upon the hardship that would be caused to his employer and his employer's customers. Mandatory 6 months totting ban avoided - 3 points imposed.
February 2008 - rescuemylicence successfully appealed a decision of the Huddersfield Magistrates. After a guilty plea to failing to provide a sample of breath the Magistrates banned the driver and imposed a 3 month 7 day a week curfew 9am-6pm. On appeal the curfew was replaced with a£200 fine.
January 2008 - the defendant, an HGV driver, was charged with using a mobile telephone whilst driving. He denied the charge and the case was taken to trial. Rescuemylicence secured the attendance of a telecoms expert at trial and secured an aquittal at trial despite the evidence of two uniformed police officers. Not guilty verdict - no points, no fine all defence costs revovered.
December 2007 - rescuemylicence sucessfully argued (under the special reasons provisions) that a man who drove 1/2mile along a quiet country lane whilst unfit through drink should not be disqualified from driving. No points, no ban.
November 2007 - rescuemylicence win an appeal at Leeds Crown Court - A polish driver who wasn't given an interpreter at the police station was acquitted of failing to provide a sample of breath for analysis - 2year Ban, community service order and£500.00 prosecution costs overturned.
